O.B.I. - On Button Information (0.5 PR)

O.B.I. - On Button Information - Version 0.5
by <Damage Inc> of (EU)Draenor - email damageinc gmail.com

Adds information to your actionbuttons including
Buff/Debuff time left
Buff/Debuff stacks
Combo Points
Energy Deficit (Energy or Ticks)
Casts until OOM
Supports spells AND macros

In addition it can update buttons with the last damage/heal (or miss/block/parry) for spells, heals, ranged and melee

Tested/Working with standard Blizzard Action Bars, Bartender3/4, Bongos2/3, Trinity 1.0/2.0(*), CogsBar and Dominos
Should work with ANY addon which is based on the Blizzard Action Bars

(*) Trinity 2.0 needs a small 'hack' to make it work - see "Changes in Version 0.5" for details (at the end of this document)

How to add information to buttons
Type /obi
Select "New Spell" from the dropdown.
Choose a preset from the dropdown - or enter your own spell as follows...

Spell: (the only thing you MUST enter)
A full (or partial e.g. "Seal of") spell (or macro) name

Buff:
A full (or partial e.g. "Poison") buff/debuff you wish to track
If blank, defaults to the spell matched (e.g. "Seal of Righteousness")

Debuff?
Whether the Buff is actually a Debuff (e.g. "Recently Bandaged" or "Shadow Word: Pain")

Hide Time?
Check if you DON'T want to see time remaining on the Buff/Debuff

Show Stacks?
Check if you want to see number of stacks of the Buff/Debuff

Target
This can be any Unit (e.g. TARGET, PLAYERPET and so on)
If blank, defaults to PLAYER

Show Casts until OOM?
Show how many times you can cast a spell with your remaining mana
No=never, Yes=always, 1-9 =show when this or fewer casts remain

Show CPs?
Show Combo Points.
No=never, 0=always, 1=show 1 or more CPs

Show Energy Deficit
Shows how much energy you need before you can use an ability.
No=never, As Energy=shows energy required, As Ticks=shows energy ticks required

Example Area
You can set the Position, Font Size and Color for the O.B.I. text - the example button shows how it will look.

Save Changes/Cancel Changes/Delete this spell
Are self-explanatory...

How to add macros
Macros are identified by reading their tooltip.
You can either 'force' a spellname to show using #showtooltip or you can add the macroname as a 'Spell'

Example 1 - forcing spellnames inside the macro
#showtooltip judgement

This will behave as if you were using the Judgement spell

Example 2 - referencing the macroname
In /obi, select "New Spell" and enter the macroname in 'Spell'
Spell: TESTMACRO
Buff: SEAL OF
This will show the remaining time on any "Seal of" spell on macro "TESTMACRO"

Macros which use modifiers to change the spell being cast also work
#showtooltip
/cast seal of command; seal of righteousness
This will show remaining time on SoR normally and SoC if is held down

Advanced O.B.I.
As well as matching spellnames, you can also match spell tooltips.

Enter a spellname in the form "NAME::MATCH".
The NAME part is an (optional) description
The MATCH part will be searched for in the tooltip
e.g.
for Druid/Rogue CP Builders "CP Builder::AWARDS" or Finishers "::FINISHING"
for Paladin Seals "SEAL::UNLEASHING"
for DoT-type debuffs "::LASTS + SEC"
Note: + is a regular experession which matches any numeric digit(s)

FAQ
Q - Is this an ACE/ACE2/ACE3 Mod?
A - No - partly because I'm not familiar with ACE and partly because it wouldn't greatly benefit from ACE's framework/libraries.
It's very low-cpu and low-memory - it typically uses < 60kb memory and less than .1% CPU

Q - O.B.I. seems to use quite a lot of CPU time
A - O.B.I. has to check the status of buffs/spells and update upto 120 actionbuttons at LEAST once a second and more frequently in combat.
It works constantly even out of combat - hence it will clock-up CPU time constantly.
I've never seen it exceed 1% usage at any one time and it's overall usage is always less than my actionbars/inventory addon.

Known Issues
Q - The 'example' button on the config. screen is black/invisible.
A - It's icon/texture is taken from your first actionbutton OR from the spell you enter.
If neither exist/are valid - nothing will appear here...

Credits

Credit to Gagorian for his addon DrDamage
His code for finding and adding text to actionbuttons (Blizzard AND addon-based) was ENORMOUSLY helpful

Credit to Mikk for MSBT - the MSBTOptions frame creation code is used as-is for the OBIOPTIONS frame

My thanks go to these authors for granting permission to use their code...

EmoKey (1.1)

This addon allows you to set a key to any emote. OK, this is largely useless, but there are some emotes that are useful (/incoming /attacktarget /charge, etc) and others that can be important for RP. If you're "making a train" it might be good to have /train bound to a key without mucking about with macros.

I've used this to get the chicken pet in Westfall by spamming /chicken about a hundred times, and it makes getting the "Make Love, not Warcraft" achievement in WotLK much easier as well.
This addon currently is missing all of the Horde flight masters. Also, the Alliance flight master for Aldor in Shadowmoon Valley is currently missing.

The addon collects data as you use it. So if you wish to send me your saved variable file I'll add the data that the addon collected.

Junkie (2.4.3-1.4-PREVI)

Junkie: A DataBroker Plugin

Have you ever wanted an easy way to track the junk in your bag, and to be rid of it on demand? If so, then Junkie is for you. Take a look at the screenshots to see how it works.

To elaborate on what you're seeing there a little; Junkie basically seeks out the cheapest item in your bag and then displays that for you (along with the size of the item's stack and the overall price, taking the stack into account).

There are three options presented to you at this point...

Clicking temporarily ignores the item and moves onto the next cheapest.
Shift clicking clears the temporary ignore list.
Alt clicking drops the item.
Control clicking toggles the trash-only (considers only grey items) mode on/off.

The ignore list works a bit like an inverse shopping list, the idea is that once you've gotten rid of the items you want, you can just toss the list. What constitutes junk will actually change for you as time goes on, whether you've reached max level or not. So having a permanent list to deal with can be fiddly, Junkie is designed to get away from those headaches. In Junkie, you can scroll through your junk with shift-click, and get rid of the bits you don't want with alt-click. Once you're done with that, the list can be reset with control-click (and the list is never saved over sessions). That's why I consider it being like a shopping list and different to the junk-destroying mods which have come before.

Things to Consider

Junkie doesn't do everything under the sun, nor is it designed to. It's designed to handle destroying junk items in your bag when you need to. If you're curious about mods that sell junk, I've listed a few below.

If you want a mod to sell all your junk (grey items)...

Haggler: http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info10658-Haggler.html

If you want a mod to build your own sell-list of items...

SellOut: http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info9298-SellOut.html

What is DataBroker?

DataBroker is part of a system that's similar to FuBar and its plugins, what you have here is a plugin but you'll also need something to display the output of the plugin. You have many options for this, and I've listed a number of them below for your perusal, just pick the one that interests you the most.

- Fortress: http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info10401-Fortress.html
- ButtonBin: http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info10474-ButtonBin.html
- StatBlockCore: http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info9221-StatBlockCore.html
- MakeRocketGoNow: http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info9771-MakeRocketGoNow.html
- Carousel: http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info10295-Carousel.html
- Titan: http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info8092-TitanPanel.html

If you want further information, that nice feller tekkub has put together some information on his wiki. And it's good information too, information that you should probably read if you're just getting into DataBroker plugins. (Not to mention that poor old tek puts these pages together and not many people seem to read them, so I thought I'd do my part to help remedy that situation. :p)
Parry Assist (1.4.0)

This addon evaluates the combat log and looks for attacks which were parried. What it does once a parry is detected depends on the mode(s) which are activated at the time. In logging mode it will write information on what attack got parried and who made the attack in the standard chat tab. In tank mode it will warn the offender and inform him that he just caused some parry haste on you. (Assuming you actually are the tank that is, tank mode does nothing if you aren't tanking the mob).

Per default only parries by boss mobs are reported as the effect of parry haste on trash should be neglible. You can however change this behaviour by activating trash mode.

The motivation for this addon came from numerous wipes on bosses like Supremus caused by overzealous melee dps who didn't position themselves correctly and consequently causing wipes due the increased boss dps from parry haste effects.

Type: /pa to open the configuration dialog.
/pa show to open the reporting frame

Next on my TODO list:
Low Priority: Put some more work into the reporting frame.

Sigmundo's Answering Machine (1.01)

This is a simple addon that works like an Answering Machine.
Just activate it and every whisper will be recorded and archived so that you can review them later. It also saves them to a local database so that you can still check them even if you've logged out.

Please notice that this addon is still in **BETA** and even though it works on my installation it does not mean that it's bug free. You are encouraged to submit all the bugs you find.

The Traveller's Reference (2.4.3-1.7)

The Traveller's Reference: A DataBroker Plugin

The Traveller's Reference is an easy to use guide to provide you with information about the current zone you're in, and pointers to other places you could go. This mod is also a DataBroker plugin, which means there are many ways in which you can display this information (see the section below for DataBroker information).

Here's the bulleted feature list.

The information display (see screenshot):

- Shows the zone you're currently in and the level-range of that zone is shown.
- The display style can be toggled between two modes via alt + click.
- Long display: Shows the zone, sub-zone in brackets, then the level-range.
- Short display: Shows the sub-zone if present, otherwise the zone, then the level-range.
- Shift + clicking the display will toggle showing the range.
- Control + clicking the display toggles plugin-dragging mode*.
- Clicking the display opens/closes the World Map.

* When in this mode, the tooltip is mode small and most click based operations are disabled. This is in order to make the plugin easier to drag into position.

The tooltip (see screenshot):

- A list of neighbouring zones (zones that border the one you're currently in).
- A list of instances within your level-range.
- A list of zones within your level-range.
- The level-ranges are colour-coded so they can be easily recognised at a glance.
- Holding shift makes the tooltip small, for ease of movement.

Credits

I'd like to thank Beoko, I helped work on his Navigator plugin and I learned a lot from doing so, some of that is present in The Traveller's Reference. Navigator was instrumental in helping me set foot down the road of DataBroker plugin creation in general, too. So really, kudos to him. Check out his Navigator mod!

What is DataBroker?

DataBroker is part of a system that's similar to FuBar and its plugins, what you have here is a plugin but you'll also need something to display the output of the plugin. You have many options for this, and I've listed a number of them below for your perusal, just pick the one that interests you the most.

Ouch (2.5)

Ouch is a mod to help review the recent damage and/or healing taken by a player, group member, or raid member. It's designed to be opened and reviewed after the fact to help determine why a player has died, or is taking too much damage, etc. It's like a personal combat log for each person you set it to, up to a max of 8. This is a very handy tool for raid leaders, or healing coordinators in a raid to troubleshoot tank deaths!

While not open, the window collapses to a very small button on screen, which you can drag by holding down Alt. Click it to show/hide the main window, or type /ouch.

The first tab of the main window is always set to yourself. You can add other players to monitor by selecting another tab and entering their name in the box. You can then configure per tab to show damage, healing, or estimated current health.

By default the mod has 4 tabs active. To change this to more or less, open the Ouch.lua file in the mod and change the value on the first line to the number you desire (up to 8).

You may also set the mod to filter out specific heals, such as spammy small heals like Healing Stream Totem. Click the ? in the top right of the main window for additional slash commands.

Shows the gryphon masters on the world map.

This addon currently is missing all of the Horde gryphon masters. Also, the Alliance gryphon master for Aldor in Shadowmoon Valley is currently missing.

The addon collects data as you use it. So if you wish to send me your saved variable file I'll add the data that the addon collected.

Wrong Button Go Away (0.2b)

Hoi!

Have you ever accidentally clicked on "Release Spirit" while having a soulstone on you? Do you know people who have?

To prevent thousands *cough* of unneccesary wipes, I have written this simple addon, that greys out the "Release Spirit" button for ten seconds if you have either a soulstone or can use you Rebirth ability.

For those of us who look at their ressources: This addon simply modifies an existing dialog, therefore using next to no memory and no CPU time.

Comments are very welcome!
MutilatePoints (1.0)

MutilatePoints is a combo point tracking mod that also allows you to track deadly poison stacks on your current target. It was designed initially as a combo point tracker (since the one in agUF is absolutely terrible) but eventually got Deadly Poison charges tagged on seeing as how I was mutilate spec at the time and it was important to be able to track the number of deadly poison charges for Envenom finishers.

I've just recently ported the AddOn to Ace3 and decided to make it available for download.

Via slash commands (/mutilatepoints or /mp) or via the Interface options AddOns section, you can toggle the frame lock for the Deadly and Combo panes (they are separate) and you can also disable the Deadly Poison pane altogether (if you do not wish to track Deadly Poison charges).
